4. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent users’ personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With third-party providers that help operate the platform (e.g., hosting, email services).
  • Legal Compliance: When required by law, court orders, or legal processes.

YCDA Market uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Remember user preferences and login sessions.
  • Analyze site usage and improve performance.
  • Deliver relevant content and advertisements.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features of the platform may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect user data. We do this through:

  1. Secure Hosting and Server Protections
    • Our platform is hosted on servers with advanced security measures such as firewalls, malware detection, and intrusion prevention.
  2. Encrypted Connections
    • Data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access.
  3. Login and Form Protections
    • Measures are in place to prevent automated attacks, spam submissions, and abuse of forms.
  4. Regular Updates and Maintenance
    • The platform is maintained with routine updates and security patches to reduce vulnerabilities.

While these measures significantly reduce risks, no method of transmission over the internet or storage is completely secure. YCDA Market cannot guarantee absolute security, and users transmit information at their own risk. Users are encouraged to use strong passwords, maintain account confidentiality, and follow best practices when interacting with the platform.

On-Site Messaging

YCDA Market provides an on-site messaging system that allows users and vendors to communicate securely within the platform. When using this feature:

  • Messages are stored on our servers to provide functionality, support, and dispute resolution.
  • We do not share your messages with third parties except as required by law or to investigate potential fraud, abuse, or policy violations.
  • Users are responsible for the content they send. Do not share sensitive, personal or financial information in messages.
  • We encourage using on-site messaging over external channels for security and to maintain a verifiable communication record. However, if necessary, you may also contact vendors via phone, WhatsApp, or email, where available. You should maintain records of such interactions.

Message Retention:
On-site messages are stored on our servers for up to 24 months for standard record keeping and to support dispute resolution and platform functionality. Messages may be retained longer if required by law or to investigate potential fraud or abuse. Users may request deletion of their messages when closing an account, subject to legal and operational requirements.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information:

  1. For as long as necessary to provide services and fulfill purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
  2. To comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
  • User Accounts: Active accounts will be retained while they have active listings. Accounts that become dormant for 2 years and have no active listings may be permanently deleted along with associated personal information. Accounts meeting these criteria will receive an email notification, allowing users to maintain their account if they wish to remain active.
  • Listings: Users are encouraged to remove listings when they are no longer relevant—for example: Job postings that have been filled, properties that have been sold or rented. To maintain accuracy and usefulness, YCDA Market may automatically remove job postings after 6-8 months if they remain active.
  • Legal and Compliance: Certain information may be retained longer if necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
  • Anonymous or Aggregated Data: Non-identifying data may be retained indefinitely for analytics, reporting, and platform improvement.

This policy ensures that YCDA Market remains a high-quality, privacy-conscious, and up-to-date platform for all users.
